RYA Powerboat Instructor
The necessary qualification to enable practical instructors to:
- Work as an RYA Powerboat Instructor at an RYA Training Centre, teaching up to Powerboat Level Two
- Establish an RYA Training Centre as a Principal or Chief Instructor
- Deliver the CBES Club Safety Boat Operator Course
Powerboat Level Two Instructor
Duration: 3 Days
Cost: TBA
Prerequisites: Powerboat Level Two and practical teaching experience.

Advanced Powerboat instructor
Duration: 6 Days (or 2 Days for existing Powerboat Level Two Instructors)
Cost: $1,000 (or $400 for existing Powerboat Level Two Instructors)
Prerequisites: RYA/MCA Advanced Powerboat Certificate of Competence and practical teaching experience.

- In most cases practical instructors will also require a Maritime New Zealand commercial qualification.
