Coastguard Boating Education's popular Day Skipper Experience is now being offered to schools from around the country, thanks to a generous sponsorship from Toyota Financial Services. Available to intermediate and secondary school school students, the Day Skipper Experience is a two - three hour practical learning experience aboard, where students have the opportunity to gain essential boating knowledge while participating in crewing or skippering the vessel. The programme introduces key messages from the NZ Day Skipper Course, covering the following modules:
